Exercises
The original PX90 worked on a system called Muscle Bafflement that is designed to circumvent the plateaus you bump into when working out. The P90X2 series, from the other standpoint, is made around a different system called P.A.P. (Post-Activation Potentiality), and it focuses on helping you maintain your fitness and performance levels while building balance, agility, and core.
X2 Core. This workout improves movement using isometric and stretching exercises. To do that you’ll need a foam roller, which is included in the P90X2 Deluxe Kit. The stated workout builds endurance and strength in your core and leg muscles, and so improves movement.
Plyocide. This workout is aimed toward improving staying power, speed and coordination. Compared to the plyometric workouts in the original P9OX, plyocide is relatively less intense though it is more technical re form.
X2 Recovery Mobility. This set of exercises is equivalent to P90x’s X Stretch, and it aims to help you avoid causing an injury and develop your body’s recovery and overall functionality.
X2 Total Body. As the name suggests, this workout is for your whole body, specifically biceps, triceps, legs, chest, and back. Its exercises teach form and balance at the same time, so hardcore users should appreciate this.
X2 Yoga. The yoga workout included in the P90X2 features variations of newb and intermediate moves and it focuses on developing a better range of motion and more strength.
Balance Power. This workout features exercises that blend lifting weights with balance poses.
Chest Back Balance. As the name suggests, this is another workout that incorporates balance into the exercises. It’s like the P90X’s Chest & Back though this is relatively harder with balance in the picture.
X2 Shoulders Arms. Your shoulders and chest is susceptible to injury, so this exercise focuses on developing the areas of the shoulders and arms.
Base Back. This workout is focused on two of the larger muscle groupings in your body, so it is rather a challenge to do them both right now. The upside though is this workout involves plyo and pull ups and is entertaining as well.
P.A.P. Lower. P.A.P. Aims to improve overall performance and is said to be a cutting-edge strategy that can bring back your springy days of youth.
P.A.P. Higher. This is the shoulders and chest version of the P.A.P. Lower workout.
X2 Ab Ripper. This workout is an improved version of the P90X’s Ab Ripper X. It’s said to be more difficult than the original though, so be prepared.
The P90X2 features 2 more exercises: the V Sculpt and the X2 Chest Shoulders Tris. The previous is aimed toward the back and biceps, while the latter goes to work on three muscle groups. All taken with all, you get 14 exercise routines in the P90X2 Luxury Kit so it’s a great deal that’s guaranteed to get you in improved shape in 90 days.
