its cool to hear a different perspective on cardio. i hate it and i’m a hard gainer so it’s fine not to do any cardio however i feel guility and think i should do cardio. so once a week, run til i drop is probably a good idea?

@ FZRichTSIAWD If you’re a hardgainer, again I’d recommend limiting cardio activity, and restricting it to short and intense 20-min interval training (to burn fat if you happen to put any on while eating and weight training to gain size). Remember, any time we do cardio to burn fat we sacrifice some muscle in the process – so it really is a trade-off. If the ‘guilt’ is there, add it to the END of a weight training session once or twice per week (MAX). thanks for your question.

I run cross country for my highschool and I want to gain 30lbs by the end of this year. We run 6 days a week and about 5-6 miles each day. I’m 5’5 and weigh 100lbs. Since cardio burns more calories than I consume then can I increase my calorie intake to have enough for weight training and cardio? Thanks in advance.

actually its not a bad idea to do cadio. in fact i didnt gain weight till i started cardio. it drives up your hunger and metabolism. of course too much is bad
