My doctor told me I have to eat meat. I think he’ll turn around one of these days. It does make me wonder if doctors are totally clueless and are just glorified drug pushers.

What about muscle memory, regarding the nucleus?

i’m a low fat raw vegan and have never been stronger. all the fruits n vegetables i eat keep me alkaline so i can recover overnight from intense workouts allowing me to train just as hard the next day. the gains i am making are phenomenal since i started eating this way.

if u want the same results as i am getting, keep watching yelkaims videos and start eating 30+ fruits a day with as many vegetables/greens as you want. keep everything else including grains-even if they’re sprouted-to a minumum

I think the nutritionist might have recommended that she stop exercising thinking that she had some kind of eating disorder. If she is 18 and is losing a lot of weight suddenly and the parents were worried enough to take her to a doctor, this girl might be going overboard with her food control. you don’t lose that much weight overnight on a healthy vegan diet. I think this girl has a latent eating disorder, or maybe the doctors thought so.

    Just my two cents.

your advice though is really great

@trevfrank Awesome stuff! That’s the way to go and I think people need to experience the difference it makes before they can fully understand it.

Being vegetarian is healthy but only if done right

Before going vegetarian i would read a few nutrition books and find out what your body needs to survive.
It will only take a week to figure out what you need to be healthy, and it will make being a vegetarian a much better experience.

Also, if your only starting to exercise again i would start with VERY basic light exercise

    squats
    planks
    on knee pushups
    assisted pullups or negative pullups
    runs (forefoot striking)

    than slowly step it up

Thanks, I am 14 and I tore my miniscus and ACL about 2 weeks ago and I didn’t get surgury yet and ALREADY, my other let is about 2wice the size of my injured one. Here in Canada, the physicians don’t do such a good job with regaining muscle and strenght and I am still confused on the fact that I am working vigurously to get it strong and I will get surgury and just stressing it more.

The problem with a vegetarian/vegan diet is that people often do not eat the right foods to to intake essential amino acids and vitamins and other trace minerals. It’s not really just about caloric intake. I would really go to a professional (MD, etc) before changing your diet or exercise regimen.

Muscle memory is a great thing. I have lifted weights for years and sometimes I would go months and months without lifting but shortly after starting again I would regain all my muscle back and then some. Get back to working out if you have stopped and the muscle will come back fairly quick.
