Not only does this help you by toning your muscles, this helps you by burning your fat. The following are some ab workouts that many fitness experts recommend. <p>Some of the best abdominal workouts don&#8217;t require any special equipment at all and you do not have to even leave your house to complete them. One of these is the bicycle exercise. There are great benefits to riding a bike and while there are stationary bicycles at the gym, you can also work out in your own home that basically copies the motion of pedaling bicycles. Just lie down on your floor, hopefully on an exercise mat. Bend your knees at a forty five degree angle, put your hands behind your head and start &#8220;pedaling&#8221; and while you do touch your right knee to your left elbow and then your left knee to your right elbow and then repeat while you pedal. Start out slowly at first and then gradually build up your speed as you do more and more repetition. </p>
<p>Dancing is perhaps the best ab workout you can do and different specific kinds of dances will work different specific groups of muscles. Lots of gyms offer dance classes today and those classes will be a lot of fun, particularly when they are set to good music and in a group setting. However, you can also dance at home, perhaps with the help of an exercise video. YouTube has more than a few you can use. One more good idea is a dance class like belly dancing, ballroom dancing and Latin dancing after which you practice on your own at home. The advantage to this form of exercise is that it can be fun, so you&#8217;ll be motivated to do it often and it won&#8217;t feel like a chore. This gives you a really good workout for your whole body, not just your abs.</p>
<p>Pilates have proven to be a good option for strengthening your core and your ab muscles. Pilates has become incredibly popular recently and there are most likely classes in your area. It is also possible to do the exercises at home on a mat on your floor with the help of an instructional video. While some Pilates workouts will require special machines, most can be done without any special equipment. A lot of the exercises you do will be kind of like yoga and are meant to strengthen your core (the middle of your body). Many people who do Pilates find that, in addition to giving them toned abdominal muscles, it&#8217;s also relaxing and makes them more flexible and fit in general. </p>
<p>In summary, you should choose ab exercises that aren&#8217;t super hard for you to do because you will be a lot more motivated to keep doing them. Remember, in terms of working out and being fit, consistency is the answer. There&#8217;s nothing bad about doing one type of exercise for a while and then changing things up every few months; in fact, this can often be quite beneficial.
