			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Supplements, especially creatine, have sometimes been touted as one of the best dietary supplements available for gaining lean muscle, improving strength and providing fast hits of energy for athletes and bodybuilders. Does creatine live up to the hype? Does the stuff actually work? Can you really build muscle fast? In many cases yes, in some cases, perhaps not. Even the best creatine may not work for people who already have enough creatine in their system. Let&#8217;s look at this a little closer.</p>
<p><strong>What is Creatine?</strong></p>
<p>Creatine is one of nature&#8217;s building blocks called an amino acid, organically created inside our bodies by the liver, kidneys and pancreas. The full chemistry is beyond the scope of this artice but you can read more about it at the <a target="_blank" title="Best Creatine Supplement" href="http://www.bestcreatinesupplementsite.com">best creatine supplement</a> site. It is also found in red meats and fish. This building block is modified within our bodies and turned into creatine phosphate, more commonly called, phosphocreatine. One program starts out with the loading phase, which helps to build up creatine in the muscles and is followed by a maintenance phase which keeps the creatine at less elevated levels. Method #2 bypasses the loading phase and goes straight into a maintenance, long term supplement program. The normal amount for this method is 3 to 10 grams daily for 2 to 3 months. Method #1 requires the athlete to take 20 grams for five to seven days followed by taking three to five grams daily for 2 to 3 months.</p>
<p>In each case, after the complete cycle is finished, it is common that you begin one to two weeks taking no supplements, called the &#8220;rest phase.&#8221;  This allows your muscles to return to a new, enhanced baseline, ready for the next round.</p>
<p><strong>Types of Creatine Supplements</strong></p>
<p>The <a target="_blank" href="http://www.bestcreatinesupplementsite.com/best-supplements-for-muscle-gain/">best supplements for muscle gain</a> varies from one person to the next. Before choosing the one that is right for you, it may be helpful to understand the types available and how they differ. This will help you make the right choice.</p>

<p><strong>Creatine Citrate</strong> – Creatine citrate binds creatine molecules together with citric acid. This process makes the resulting product easily dissolvable in water. It may provide more muscle energy and taking citrine alone. Available creatine in this formula is roughly 40% less that what you&#8217;ll find in the standard monohydrate formula and citrate tends to be more expensive.</p>
<p><strong>Creatine Phosphate</strong> – This supplement is also expensive and somewhat less effective than its monohydrate cousin. It is formed by blending a creatine molecule with a phosphate molecule.</p>
<p><strong>Creatine Ethyl Ester</strong> – This compound was first discovered by the University of Nebraska by blending alcohol with an acid. It is formulated by combining an ester molecule with a creatine molecule. Creatine ethyl ester may have better adsorption than other formulas.</p>
<p><strong>Tri-creatine Malate</strong> – Tri-creatine malate is the combination of creatine and malic acid and is highly water soluble. This effect reduces the common complaint of stomach bloating often accompanying the use of creatine monohydrate. It also gives muscles a more solid look and feel than other creatine formulas.</p>
<p><strong>Buffered Creatine</strong>- Buffered creatine is a specially formulated version that allows athletes to ingest the smaller doses of creatine while getting similar results acheived from other types of creatine. There&#8217;s no loading, maintenance or rest phases. Just take the same small dose every day and you will reportedly get similar results to the other methods.</p>
<p><strong>Micronized Creatine</strong> – Micronized creatine is creatine monohydrate. The difference is that this type has been crushed to make the particals much smaller. This aids in the dissolution stirred with water in your glass and helps alleviate the bloating many people report when using creatine monohydrate.  </p>
